My Story

Growing up, there were two things I was undoubtedly passionate about: Writing and standing up for what I believe in.

By my junior year of high school, I decided I wanted to marry my two passions and pursue my dreams as a journalist that centered marginalized groups and their plight. Now as a journalist covering race, justice, politics and Christianity, I get to tell the stories of the marginalized everyday.

I have over five years of experience in the field with writing, editing, fact-checking, podcast producing and more in my arsenal. My work has been featured in Teen Vogue, The Washington Post and New York Magazine.

When I'm not freelancing, you can catch me as the host and producer of "Sit Still With Sierra," a self-help podcast dedicated to helping listeners become more self-aware, introspective versions of themselves.
