About Me
My entire life I've had a pretty clear vision of what I wanted to do in life and who I wanted to be. The fun of it all has been the journey of getting to that destination and learning a lot along the way. My love for journalism was made concrete in my junior year of high school when I decided I wanted to marry my passion for writing and public speaking to pursue my dreams as a journalist who centers marginalized groups. Now as a journalist covering education, race, Christianity and their intersections, I get to tell the stories of the marginalized daily.
I have over five years of experience with writing, editing, audience engagement, fact-checking, and podcast production. My work has been featured in Teen Vogue, The Washington Post and New York Magazine just to name a few.
When I'm not freelancing, you can find me hosting my podcast Sit Still With Sierra, whipping up a new dinner recipe, basking in the sun at the beach or blabbing about Stevie Wonder.
