About Me

My entire life I've had a pretty clear vision of what I wanted to do and who I wanted to be. My desire to be a journalist was set in stone during my junior year of high school when I decided to combine my passions for writing and public speaking. With a focus on marginalized communities, I cover politics, education, faith, justice and their intersections.

I have over five years of experience with writing, copy editing, audience engagement, fact-checking, and podcast production. My work has been featured in Teen Vogue, The Washington Post and New York Magazine among others.

When I'm not reporting, you can find me hosting my podcast Sit Still With Sierra, whipping up a new dinner recipe, basking in the sun at the beach or blabbing about Stevie Wonder.
